Challenge
How might we design the bathroom of the future? Which megatrends should the brand Grohe and Odörfer focus on? How will they transform their offering? The trends 'urbanisation', 'growing middle class' and 'shift to Asia' point to a clear opportunity area for the challenge.
Outcome
The Chinese middle class is booming, population and cities are growing rapidly - yet the bathroom stays tiny. Grohe Popup masters the increasing demand for luxury and wellness even in smallest spaces. A foldable bathroom originating from symbols of Chinese culture: paper, fan and bamboo.
